21 Solutions has been chosen by Brussels Environment to coordinate and facilitate the PREC-GPCE in collaboration with the consultancy firms Greenloop and EcoRes. Launched in 2016, this ambitious programme for the support and development of the circular economy in the Brussels Region aims to transform environmental objectives into economic opportunities, to give the economy local foundations and to help create jobs. The programme comprises 111 cross-cutting, sectoral, regional and governance measures.

As the coordinator of the programme’s different stakeholders, 21 Solutions actively participated in the development of the collaborative platform for managing the implementation of the action plan, in order to facilitate project management for its 200 project leaders and stakeholders, reporting and communication, and the platform which the team runs on a daily basis to ensure a continuous flow of information.

The two colloquia organised by the team in 2017 and 2018 successfully helped promote the regional circular economy approach and opened up the process to all stakeholders at regional and European level alike. Workshops, seminars and support for thematic coordinators and project leaders encourage collaboration within the PREC-GPCE in an approach based on collective intelligence. In partnership with Arctik, 21 Solutions also contributes to the programme’s external communication through the management of the BeCircular website and newsletters.

With its expertise and its sustainable construction network, 21 Solutions is also specifically responsible, within the framework of the PREC-GPCE, for supporting organisations in the Brussels construction sector. Our contribution has helped to identify and bring these stakeholders together, for the joint development of a common vision for the sector and the preparation of a proper strategy.
