CDR Construction gave 21 Solutions the task of organising a scheme to improve professionals’ knowledge of techniques for renovating wooden window-frames and to create synergies between them these professionals. Wood is still a very common material in buildings in Brussels thanks to its useful properties for both heritage conservation and sustainable construction.
Following some round table sessions bringing together professionals from the sector (training, socio-professional integration, technical experts, etc.), 21 Solutions designed and piloted five training courses in the form of interactive technical programmes for the renovation of wooden window-frames. The courses were intended for architects, renovation and energy consultants, those with an influence over procurement specifications, carpenters, students and teachers. The courses lasted three complete days, during which participants visited sites and attended lectures and teaching activities, in a multidisciplinary, interactive, sensory and practical approach.
