How can the environmental impact be reduced of events organised in the Brussels Region, particularly in terms of waste? To answer this question, 21 Solutions was tasked by the Brussels-Capital Region with performing an environmental diagnosis of three major events organised by Visit Brussels, its tourism communication agency: the famous Comic Strip Festival, eat ! brussels and the Iris Festival.
Sustainable food, transport, waste, toilets, recycling, raw materials, energy, water… The team carried out a comprehensive assessment and made concrete recommendations on how to improve the organisation of events in Brussels, and in particular how to significantly reduce the quantity of waste they generate.
